ACTIVITIES
NA Landuse Chairs receive notices from developers and the City of Bend on landuse issues within the NA boundaries. Southwest Bend Neighborhood Association’s current Landuse Chair is Judy Clinton reach out at sbnalanduse@gmail.com
We are looking for volunteers to write newsletters on MailChimp, post on Nextdoor and Facebook for our events and information sharing.
Meets during fair weather monthly on the last Friday of the month. We meet at 9am on the corner of Lodgepole and Brookswood. If you are interested in more information email southwestbendna@gmail.com
This group deals with transportation issues within the neighborhood association.
Topics include:
- Bus Stop improvements
- Murphy Corridor updates and recommendations
- Speeding in the neighborhoods (getting the radar speed display board set up on certain roads to remind drivers to Slow Down for safety)
- Crosswalk recommendations
- Sidewalk cleanup
Due to the current small size of the SBNA board, all items are discussed with the entire group.
The Neighborhood Leadership Alliance (NLA) provides a direct and continuing means for neighborhood association constituent participation and input to the City Council from a neighborhood and community perspective.
NLA membership consists of one member representing each of the 13 recognized Neighborhood Associations in Bend. Committee members are recommended by the neighborhood association’s board and appointed by the Mayor with the consent of City Council.
